Strain Cards

Your army. Your defense. Your options.

Strain cards are the foundation of every strategy in Canna Blitz. You'll play them to claim territories, stack defenses, and launch attacks. Knowing which strains do what, and when to use them, separates good players from great ones.

How to Read Strains

Attack (ATK): How hard this card hits when you attack Defense (DEF): How well this card holds when you defend Type: Indica (defensive), Sativa (aggressive), Hybrid (balanced)

High ATK (6 to 8): Built to attack. Fragile under pressure. High DEF (6 to 8): Built to hold ground. Weak when pushing forward. Balanced (4/4 to 5/5): Flexible in any situation.

Strategy Tips

When Attacking:

  • Lead with Sativas (ATK 6 to 8). They're built for this.
  • Target territories with weak defenders first to build momentum
  • Save Instants for close fights where the outcome isn't certain

When Defending:

  • Place Indicas (DEF 6 to 8) on your most contested territories
  • Stack two defenders on CBD Coast. Their DEF values add together.
  • Control Indica Island for +2 DEF across every territory you hold

Hand Management:

  • Keep a mix of attackers and defenders. Being all-in on one type leaves you vulnerable.
  • Don't empty your hand. Cards in hand are options, and options win games.
  • If you control THC Terrace, holding Strains instead of playing them is worth 1 VP each at game end
